Company origins

Back in 2009 Erik Abbing had just completed his MSc in management in engineering at Luleå University of Technology, in Sweden. One day he came across an article about water shortages in California. The problem was sever enough for the Californian energy department to announced they were actively seeking a solution to the problem of energy and water wasted in tap water systems.

Erik´s family had a long history in the plumbing industry as both his father and grandfather were plumbers. So it was only natural that Erik decided he would work on solving this problem. Erik set about building an early prototype in his father´s basement. Then, he founded 3E flow.

Today, after many years of research and development, 3E flow has a fully developed smart system. The company holds over 80 patents in 9 patent families with further patents continuously in writing. The company has attracted an international group of executives, with backgrounds in technology, business and the plumbing industry. Our partners are able add value to their portfolio by incorporating 3E flow´s technology.
